This blog is of places I’ve visited that have been significant in shaping modern history, and of places that I believe are exceptionally beautiful.
This blog is also about Italy’s uniqueness, to the extent that ever since Classical, Roman, Renaissance periods, through post modernism as reflected in art, literature, architecture and fashion, progress was never limited to one or two big cities, rather the push for progress rose simultaneously in most of Italy’s towns, which in turn actively contributed and are still making their mark on an ongoing basis on history and on the world’s heritage by actively rethinking architecture, law, civil works and other aspects of cultural life.
Its never as simple as it seems, or as the adage goes in Italy “Seems easy“ , though I suspect that the process of creating an advanced society, over time, must have required a fair amount of suitable traits, the full spectrum of virtues and some more yet ..!!
